The San Francisco 49ers are among the teams that spoke with University of Texas-San Antonio cornerback Devron Davis, according to Thor Nystrom of Rotoworld. Davis is currently participating in the fourth annual College Gridiron Showcase and Symposium, which takes place from January 6-10 in Addison, Texas. He also spoke with the New York Jets, Green Bay Packers, and Los Angeles Rams.

The five-day showcase features more than 80 draft-eligible players and utilizes a unique format in a controlled scrimmage rather than an actual game. The players receive professional football coaching, mentoring, life coaching, and seminars.
Davis, who is from Stockton, California, was a two-year starter for the Roadrunners after transferring from Merced College. He registered 51 tackles (36 solo), six tackles for loss, three interceptions, 11 passes defensed, and a forced fumble in 24 career games.
As a senior in 2017, Davis had 25 stops, four tackles for a loss, six passes defensed, and two interceptions.
