The San Francisco 49ers roster spot left vacant by the release of veteran defensive back Leon Hall has been filled. The team announced it has re-signed tight end Logan Paulsen, who was released on Tuesday.
Paulsen appeared in each of the team's six games this season. He had no receptions this season and has been in on just 41 offensive snaps.
Paulsen was originally signed to a one-year deal by the 49ers on March 9, which was the first day of free agency. He spent four years (2010-2013) with the Washington Redskins. Chicago signed Paulsen to its active roster on September 4, 2016.
Paulsen entered the NFL with Washington as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA in 2010. In six NFL seasons (Paulsen missed 2015 due to injury), he has 82 catches for 816 yards and six touchdowns.
