Colin Kaepernick, 49ers agree to restructured contract

Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers officially agreed to a restructured contract Wednesday that lessens the financial risk for the team and allows the quarterback to leave the franchise after this season if he wants, a team spokesman confirmed. Kaepernick, who was signed through 2020, now has a one-year deal with a player option to extend it for another season, ESPN reported.
