Reggie Bush will have season-ending surgery on torn MCL

Nov 2, 2015 at 6:31 PM--

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that San Francisco 49ers RB Reggie Bush will undergo season-ending surgery on Tuesday. He has a torn MCL according to his sources.

Bush's ACL is reported to be fine.

Bush slipped on the sideline concrete at the Edward Jones Dome while running out of bounds on a punt return. He did not get back up and was eventually carted to the locker room. He was on crutches in the locker room following the game.

RB Mike Davis will have surgery on his fractured hand on Tuesday as well. RB Carlos Hyde missed Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams to rest what is believed to be a fractured foot. Although, Ryan Sakamoto of NinerFans.com believes he may require surgery as well.

On Monday, the 49ers signed former Cleveland Browns RB Shaun Draughn. They also signed RB Jarryd Hayne, who the team waived on Saturday, to the practice squad. Although, it is possible Hayne gets elevated to the 53-man roster once Bush is placed on IR.

On Monday, the team also traded TE Vernon Davis to the Denver Broncos.
