All that was missing was a red carpet. Reporters peppered Coach Jim Harbaugh with questions Wednesday about his acting, specifically his 1996 cameo in a "Saved By The Bell: The New Class" episode that's going viral on YouTube. "My brief acting career has been all downhill since then," Harbaugh joked. Appearing as himself during his [...]

Former 49ers player seemingly calls out team for being "afraid to let guys compete"
By Marc Adams
May 4
It's not uncommon for a player to be frustrated with his lack of playing time. The San Francisco 49ers have their share of players who complained, usually after leaving the team, about how they were underused or weren't given the opportunities to showcase their skills. You can add former 49ers wide receiver Willie Snead IV to that list.
On Friday, Snead shared his frustration on social media, writing, "All I want is to go back to a team that isn't afraid to let guys compete for a roster spot. These last 3 years been nothing short of entitlement…Competition breedz Champions." It's unclear what Snead was referring to when he said the past three years were "nothing short of

The San Francisco 49ers selected wide receiver Jacob Cowing in the fourth round of the draft, adding him to a wideout group that includes Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings, and first-round pick Ricky Pearsall.
Following his selection, Cowing spoke with reporters and revealed his admiration for a receiver within the division—Seattle Seahawks veteran Tyler Lockett—whom he's modeled his game after.
"As I was growing up on my football journey, I looked at Tyler Lockett a lot," Cowing told reporters via Zoom. "Very similar in stature. I kind of resembled my game after him a

New 49ers defensive coordinator Nick Sorensen may not have all the answers yet in regards to how his defense will perform in the upcoming season, but it sounds like his approach will remain largely similar to what the team has done in the past under head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Sorensen held his first media session as 49ers defensive coordinator before the team's rookie minicamp on Friday and provided a glimpse on how he wants his defense to look once they take the field in September. The plan is to show the NFL that the 49ers haven't changed much in terms of intensity and flying to the ball.
"I want them to see we're still the standard of what we've always been -- an attacking defense that plays fast," Sorensen said. "We play violent. We play with speed, and we
49ers LB Dre Greenlaw reflects on how his presence might have impacted the Super Bowl
By David Bonilla

Dre Greenlaw believes he is making significant progress on his road to recovery from the torn Achilles he sustained in the second quarter of the Super Bowl.
"It's coming along," Greenlaw shared last week with NBC Sports Bay Area. "It's a long, slow process that you just kind of gotta be ready for every day to wake up and attack whatever it is that I'm trying to work on. And for me, that's, right now, just the strength and the mobility, just trying to get good range of motion in it."
Greenlaw isn't predicting a potential date for his return to the football field. He aims to rejoin his teammates early in the upcoming season but will be wise with his recovery. The linebacker has no
