Colin Kaepernick is adopted, but that's just a technicality for the 49ers quarterback who regards his adopted family as every bit a part of his biology. But now, his birth mother is speaking out about her desire to form a bond with the son she gave up for adoption 25 years ago. On Tuesday, YahooSports [...]

How Terrell Owens plans to help son, Terique, impress 49ers

By David Bonilla
May 6

Terique Owens, the son of Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens, presents an intriguing prospect for the San Francisco 49ers. Recently signed by the team as an undrafted free agent, the former Missouri State receiver faces an uphill battle to secure a spot on the roster. He's likely to compete with numerous others for a place at the bottom of the depth chart. Complicating matters for the rookie is the fact that the 49ers invested in two wide receivers through the draft—Ricky Pearsall in the first round and Jacob Cowing in the fourth round. He was known for his speed, and strength, using his 6'3, 224-pound frame to bully defensive backs, and run away from defenses. He finished his career with 1,078 catches for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns. Anyone who watched Owens play very much can close their eyes and picture him running through defenses. There was a certain way he ran, taking long strides as he moved

By David Bonilla
Apr 30

One thing is clear: Ian Rapoport expects Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel to be on the San Francisco 49ers roster when the team takes the field in Week 1 of the 2024 season. At this point, most probably feel that way. The fact that both stayed with the team throughout the draft clearly signals that general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan intend to retain their two talented receivers—at least for one more season. "Week 1 of 2024, it looks like they both will be [on the roster]," Rapoport told guest host Tom Pelissero on "The Rich Eisen Show." However, nothing in the NFL is ever certain. "Now, look, crazy things can happen," Rapoport continued. "Someone loses a star receiver, they decide to give the 49ers something of value for this
