The 49ers picked up a big win over a divisional rival by beating the Seahawks 32-29 last weekend and punter Corliss Waitman helped get them that victory.

Waitman was called on five times during the first half of the game and he put all five of his punts inside of the Seahawks' 20-yard-line. Three of those punts pinned the Seahawks inside of their own 10-yard-line and one of them left them to start their drive inside their own 5-yard-line.

The 49ers did not need to punt at all in the second half, but Waitman's work in the first 30 minutes was enough to net him the NFC special teams player of the week award.

It's the first time that Waitman has taken conference honors while with the Niners, but he won the AFC version once while with the Broncos in 2022.
