SANTA CLARA — Deebo Samuel is back. The versatile receiver notched an 80-yard touchdown after taking a pitch from Mike Evans on a hook-and-ladder situation in the 49ers’ 36-30 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium.
“It was crazy because we walked through that play once this week,” Samuel said after the game. “It was crazy, we called it kind of backed up, it was third-and-long. Once I saw Mike catch the ball and there were two guys on him, I was like, ‘If I can get around here, there ain’t going to be anybody.”
