On Sunday, they rode a familiar formula to a 36-30 victory over the Arizona Cardinals at Levi’s Stadium.
After two consecutive blowout wins, the 49ers had to keep the foot on the accelerator throughout Sunday’s game.
“The last two weeks we got, not comfortable, but that’s not truly NFL ball where you have your starters sitting out in the fourth quarter,” 49ers linebacker Fred Warner said.
“That’s great. That’s the goal, right? You want to be able to dominate teams, but that’s the NFL. It’s always close.”
