SANTA CLARA — Romello Height now is preparing for the season alongside Nick Bosa, but just like when he was drafted, meeting the former Defensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year felt surreal.The third-round draft pick sat down with NBC Sports Bay Area for the “Meet The Rookies” series and explained his first encounter with the All-Pro.
“The first few days I didn’t see him because I guess he wasn’t in the building,” Height said. “But when I did see him, and we had a chance to catch up, it was a shocking moment to be able to talk to Nick Bosa.
“Defensive Rookie of the Year, big-time player, sack specialist. It was a huge deal.”
While Bosa is only three calendar years older than Height, the All-Pro is entering his eighth NFL season, while Height is just getting acclimated to life in the league.
