Grades for 49ers’ frustrating loss to Seahawks, ending bid for NFC’s No. 1 seed

The 49ers played their second consecutive game on a short week.And it looked that way, as San Francisco was a step or two slow compared to the Seattle Seahawks.The 49ers were dominated in just about every facet of the game, as Seattle slogged out a 13-3 victory at Levi’s Stadium to claim the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. Here is the report card from the 49ers’ Week 18 loss to the Seahawks:Rushing offenseThe 49ers thought they had found some answers to their running game. But they were unable to carry over any momentum against a fast and physical Seattle defense.Christian McCaffrey did not have much room to work and he could not generate enough missed tackles to make a difference. He managed just 23 yards on eight rushing attempts.The 49ers could not get the run game going on a consistent basis because they could not keep drives alive.
