SANTA CLARA — Wide receiver Jauan Jennings has not returned to the 49ers’ practice field since he exited a workout on July 27 with an apparent calf injury.Brandon Aiyuk, who will begin the regular season on the physically unable to perform list after undergoing extensive knee surgery in November, has been seen on the field more than Jennings over the past four weeks.But 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan on Saturday seemed to express optimism that Jennings will be ready in two weeks when the team opens the regular season at the Seattle Seahawks.“I expect him to be back,” Shanahan said. “I think he should be back from it, but you never know with calves.“I’m not a doctor, so like I said, calves take time. You never know with calves.”When training camp opened, Jennings’ representation was angling for a new contract as he entered the second and final year of a $15.3 million contract.Jennings is coming off his best season as a pro.
