SANTA CLARA — Day 10 of 49ers training camp was a lighter day as the team prepares for a joint practice with the Denver Broncos later this week.As practice started, the team announced several transactions, including the release of kicker Greg Joseph, indicating the kicker competition as been won by Jake Moody, at least for now. There were no kicks attempted during the session.During the early portion of practice, the wide receivers and defensive backs had one of the most lively 1-on-1 sessions since camp began. Cornerback Upton Stout had his first win, facing off with wide receiver Russell Gage Jr., and the entire defensive group celebrated, understanding the competition between the two players.Receiver Ricky Pearsall, who had an outstanding Saturday practice, returned to 1-on-1 drills, winning each rep.
