The San Francisco 49ers are preparing for their NFC Championship Game contest against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Aside from tackle Trent Williams returning from his veteran day off, nothing changed compared to Wednesday's practice participation report.

Two 49ers running backs sat out Wednesday's practice due to injuries. Nothing changed for Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell on Thursday. Neither participated in the afternoon session. However, McCaffrey was on hand for the team's walk-through before practice.

How concerned is the 49ers head coach about his running backs' statuses?

"Same concerns I had yesterday," Kyle Shanahan said.

One person who isn't concerned about his potential availability on Sunday is McCaffrey. The running back was asked if there was any chance of him not playing against the Eagles.

"Zero," McCaffrey responded confidently.

For the second consecutive day, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, defensive end Charles Omenihu, and cornerback Ambry Thomas were limited practice participants.

Below are Thursday's practice participation reports for both the 49ers and Eagles, which were provided by the 49ers Communications staff.

Should the 49ers be worried about Christian McCaffrey's workload?

By Al Sacco
Apr 11

It's not an exaggeration to say that RB Christian McCaffrey is coming off one of the best individual seasons in the history of the San Francisco 49ers. In his first full year in red and gold, McCaffrey led the NFL in rushing yards (1,459), total yards (2,023) and total touchdowns (21) on his way to becoming Offensive Player of the Year. His yards on the ground were the fourth most ever for a Niners running back and his 21 touchdowns trailed only WR Jerry Rice's team record of 23, which the Hall of Famer accomplished in just 12 games in 1987. McCaffrey was also prolific in the passing game, hauling in 67 receptions and often providing a safety net for QB Brock Purdy. Because McCaffrey has meant so much to Kyle Shanahan's scheme, it's easy to see why the offense
