49ers Draft USC DE Drake Jackson in Round 2

Apr 29, 2022 at 7:20 PM--

The 49ers chose not to address their subpar offensive line with their first draft pick this year. Instead, the 49ers added to their already outstanding defensive line by drafting USC edge rusher Drake Jackson. Jackson is a good value for the 49ers at pick 61, and he plays a premium position, but he ...Continue reading

49ers' Kyle Shanahan clarifies his Lamar Jackson comments, explains plan for Trey Lance

Social media dug up an old quote from Kyle Shanahan to create a narrative that the San Francisco 49ers head coach contradicted what he said in 2021 when asked to compare Trey Lance to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. "He's not Lamar Jackson," Shanahan said, via ESPN's Ed Werder. "Trey is a quarterback who has the ability to run. But to just line him up and run him, I mean, the game's too physical." Despite injuries at RB, Kyle Shanahan doesn't view rookie QB Trey Lance as solution to create rushing yards. "He's not Lamar Jackson,'' he told me. "Trey is a quarterback who has the ability to run. 49ers-Seahawks: Kyle Shanahan vs. Pete Carroll, Round 11

The San Francisco 49ers are 17-30 versus the Seattle Seahawks. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has only produced two wins out of the ten times he's faced his Seattle counterpart, Pete Carroll. It was like they were traumatized, once again coming up short against their division rival. The question is, what does Kyle Shanahan have to do to beat Carroll? It's simple—be more aggressive. Football is the number one sport built off of aggression. There's

The San Francisco 49ers won...and lost on Sunday. The win came by beating the Seattle Seahawks, something the 49ers have not done much of over the last 10 years. The loss came when Trey Lance broke his ankle. He's believed to be lost for the season. It's been a rough first two weeks for 49ers fans. First there was the frustrating loss in Chicago, and now the injury to Lance. And to make matters worse, running back Ty Davis-Price sustained a high-ankle sprain that could sideline him for a few weeks. As you well know, Elijah Mitchell will already miss about two months with an MCL sprain. Injuries are beginning to mount. But fortunately for you, I'm fully healthy and ready to share this week's 49ers mailbag with you. Let's get to it. How many QBs
