Pruitt's run-blocking grade of 74.3 from Pro Football Focus was the seventh-highest among NFL tight ends last season. His pass-blocking grade of 52.9 was a significant drop from back-to-back seasons in 2018 and 2019 with a grade of 79.0 or higher.
The Minnesota Vikings made Pruitt a fifth-round selection out of Southern Illinois in 2015. He registered five receptions for 49 yards with two touchdowns through 11 games with the Titans last season. Pruitt had been with Tennessee since 2018. Before that, the tight end spent time with the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans.
Pruitt, 29, has caught 32 passes for 343 yards with four touchdowns through his six NFL seasons.
It was reported earlier today that former Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall worked out for the 49ers.
