Pro Football Focus released its latest mock draft. Eric Eager and George Chahrouri have the San Francisco 49ers trading out of the No. 12 spot and adding a few more picks in the process. The Washington Football Team uses the selection to add quarterback Mac Jones of Alabama after the Pro Football Focus duo has the top four quarterback prospects — Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance — gone by pick No. 9.

Last month, Pro Football Focus identified defensive tackle Solomon Thomas as the San Francisco 49ers' biggest draft mistake over the past five years. It obviously hasn't been all bad in the eyes of the analytics site, though. Mock drafts are a dime a dozen this time of year, and most of them wind up projecting something unexciting that has already been projected several times before. But every once in a while, a mock draft comes along that is interesting enough to single out and discuss on its own, like this one from Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network.
