The New York Jets have announced that they have completed their second interview with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, a process that started yesterday. Saleh continued to meet with Jets brass today for the head coaching job. Those meetings included speaking with owner Christopher Johnson.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network seems to believe that Saleh is the top candidate for the job.
"The fact that Robert Saleh was the first to fly into [the New York area to meet with the] Jets," Rapoport said this morning on NFL Network, "the fact that, as to my knowledge, they do not have anyone else right now, currently scheduled to fly in for a second interview, that I know of, he has not left the building yet, this all seems like it is headed in the right direction of Robert Saleh being the next head coach."
This is Saleh's second interview with the Jets. Last week, he met virtually with the team. The defensive coordinator has also met (virtually) with the Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Los Angeles Chargers.
Said Jets team reporter Ethan Greenberg: "The Jets have completed interviews with other eight candidates: Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy, Bengals' former head coach Marvin Lewis, Panthers' OC Joe Brady, Bills' OC Brian Daboll, Colts' DC Matt Eberflus, Rams' DC Brandon Staley, Titans' OC Arthur Smith and Saints' secondary coach Aaron Glenn. Saleh is the first candidate to complete a second interview."
The Philadelphia Eagles have also requested to speak with Saleh regarding their head-coaching vacancy. With his meetings with the Jets complete, the coordinator will now travel to interview with the Eagles, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Quite a whirlwind.
After spending the day interviewing with the Jets, Robert Saleh will be having initial in-person meetings with the Eagles brass about their vacant HC job... tonight.
Per source, Eagles had a plane for trip from NJ to Florida (where Eagles brass is) ready.
