Perhaps 49ers general manager John Lynch and his Denver counterpart, John Elway, worked out an agreement? On Monday, 49ers quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello was scheduled to interview for the Broncos offensive coordinator opening, 9News in Denver reported. On Friday, the 49ers had reportedly denied Denver permission to speak with Scangarello. The 49ers have denied multiple teams permission to interview offensive assistants Mike McDaniel and Mike LaFleur. It's not known if Lynch's connection with Elway played a role in Scangarello's interview. They are close friend and Elway was instrumental in Lynch's decision to leave his job as a Fox analyst to become the 49ers GM last year.
