The San Francisco 49ers suffered a couple of notable injuries during the first quarter of their Week 5 home bout versus the Arizona Cardinals.
Most notably a leg injury to running back Matt Breida, who appeared to land awkwardly on his left leg at the tail end of a 1st-and-15 run with 30 seconds left in the first quarter. After staying down on the field for some time, Breida was subsequently helped off with some assistance from the 49ers training staff and fullback Kyle Juszczyk.

Wide receiver Pierre Garçon also suffered a shoulder injury late in the first half. His return is questionable.
The 49ers were already without wide receivers Marquise Goodwin (quad) and Dante Pettis (knee), who were inactive for Week 5. Garçon's absence puts more pressure on depth wideouts Kendrick Bourne, Trent Taylor and Victor Bolden, Jr., who just returned from a four-game suspension.
Breida suffered an ankle injury and his return is questionable.
