Head coach Kyle Shanahan said rookie inside linebacker Reuben Foster sustained a high ankle sprain in Sunday's season-opening loss to the Panthers, but he didn't offer a timetable for his return. Foster will almost certainly miss the next two games, and Shanahan suggested he could miss even more time. "Those tend to be a month, a little more," Shanahan said. "But I can't put an exact date on it. That's my experience with high ankle sprains." The 49ers will visit Seattle on Sunday and will host the Rams on Sept. 21. Their next game will be at Arizona on Oct. 1.
