Before Seahawks G.M. John Schneider signed his latest extension in Seattle, he had a clause that allowed him to leave for the team that plays in his home state of Wisconsin. 16 frozen observations from the 49ers' win in Green Bay

By Marc Adams

What an ugly game. But what a beautiful game. The San Francisco 49ers struggled for most of the divisional round playoff in Green Bay against the Packers on Saturday night. The offense could not generate yards, much less points, especially in the first half. But somehow the 49ers, driven by a dominant defense, and the resurrection of a dead special teams unit came to life, and beat the Packers 13-10. You read that correctly. Keep in mind there are still a lot of unknowns here, including (as of Sunday morning) whether or not the 49ers will even get this opportunity when they battle in the NFC Championship next Sunday (6:40 p.m. ET/3:40 p.m. PT, FOX). But based on what Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said Saturday night to go with what's been reported about Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady over the past 24 hours, it's not incorrect to say the 49ers could conceivably be the team to
