On SEA's final drive, 3rd down. Why was Jack Jones lined up across from JSN? JSN was wide left but for some reason it was neither Demo or Green defending him. Sure enough JSN was targeted and luckily he dropped the ball.

Even Kupp sounded like he knew he didn't make it after the game.

It's so annoying because this call wasn't a guarantee win or not. It wasn't a goal line call, it was just for a first down. Hindsight 50/50 for seagulls fans.

Refs owed the 49ers one since the Deebo fumble.
Anyone have a link to rewatch the game or a condensed version of it?

Personally I thought that the ball was coming loose before Deebo was down. I couldn't really tell on the last Seahawks play. Both calls were too close to overturn the call made on the field so they did the right thing and let the call stand. That's how replay is supposed to work. I was really worried that they would overturn it and give the Seahawks an opportunity to win. That would have been so typical of what happens in Seattle.

This is was the same type of fumbled Deneve had against us on the PR last week.
Seahawks still whining about that 1st down or lack thereof? Maybe JSN should have caught that one ball but he completely dipped his fingers in butter. Keep cryin'. Sam had to face a real defense and got sacked four times but they will just keep crying about the last play call and how life is unfair

Our defense balled out, was worried after Greenie left but only for a short while.
1. The final call was correct. This isn't the NBA where you can jump 5 feet out of bounds and still be in play as long as you're in the air.

2. I see Seattle fans have already moved on to "we turned the ball over 4 times and almost won!!" Umm okay are we going to ignore the 49ers turning it over 3 times? Including an inexplicable muffed punt that led to a Seattle TD? At least Halton actually did something and made a play for his TD. Deebo and Cowing gave the ball to the Seahawks like a birthday present.

IMO JSN didn't catch it because 1. It wasn't Darnold's best throw and 2. Mustapha rattled him on the previous play.

Let's be honest and admit the we Niner fans would be whining about that call too if it had been reversed.

The officials got it right. It was too close to overturn the call made on the field and they allowed it to stand. That's what is supposed to happen. They did the same on the Deebo fumble.

Which begs the question. Last week when Brock was scrambling and jumped out of bounds and threw that insane pass to Farrell which was deemed incomplete (because Farrell was out of bounds)….if Farrell completes the catch in the field of play, it is still considered incomplete bc Brock hands crossed the OOB plane before he threw it ?

It was catchable though.

I felt the refs got the call right too, it was so close but not enough to overturn the call and I think it was short.

They couldn't close it out even with the free TD Cowing gave them. Just keep cryin. Your hero qb got four sacks

Yeah, when the play was under review, I wasn't too worried, there wasn't enough there to overturn.

If our qb got sacked four times, I think Niner fans would be whining much more about that than the official call, if reversed. How we need to get rid of x,y,z players, trade, fire whomever lol

I agree but that's the type of call that so often goes in Seattle's favor when they play at home. Almost like the officials are intiidated by the loud crowd noise.

I was thinking the exact same thing when it happened.
