Finally, a writer calls out Sing's crappy philosophy

This is a pretty good article about how backwards our offensive philosophy is right now, thanks to Dingle. I'm really starting to become a fan of this Eric Branch guy, neither Maiocco or Barrows has written an article like this, and it's LONG overdue. As everyone with a brain knows, this Offense is too predictable, unimaginative, and poorly called to be successful. At 0-5, you have to wonder if our neanderthal coach finally gets the message. Play to the players' strengths for once, I doubt it gets any worse.
Yeah ummmm okay.

Branch isn't saying anything that we on the Zone haven't.

Philly game 39 pass 18 rush
Atl game 32 pass 22 rush
NO game 32 pass 22 rush

^12 turnovers lost by a combined 8 points.

Here’s a philosophy hold on to the damn football

First three games the box was clogged and our Offense was based around short passes, you do the math; that also falls on philosophy.
If you lose ALL the close games. It falls ALL on the coach.
Nice, though we here on the zone saw this even last year!

With parity in the NFL today, all teams have talent.

The difference between a winning team and a losing team is the coaching staffs.

turnovers screwed them us much as any play calling did. I don't know when it's going to stop. But it must if we want to win a game.

So did I, I just thought it was a nice article. It's good to see a beat writer go at Sing like this though, Barrows and Maiocco don't really do stuff like that.

It won't stop until the coachs pay attention to the details.
Finally

But based on the first five games, Singletary will probably stick with his predictable running attack and the "Dink and Dunk offense"

He did report we are more effective when running the hurry up offense, well now that we are 0-5 the offense should play with a lot more urgency and more aggressive, but I dont think this will discourage Sing from swaying away from HIS offensive philosophy....IF we lose again this weekend, then it's time to pull the plug on Sing and let the other coaches finish out the season and look for a PROVEN offensive minded coach, no more shoot from the hip hires and hoping they pan out
I don't see how anyone could say Sing is better than Nolan at this point. In '07, Nolan had much less talent with a much worse Alex at QB, and he started off 2-1. Sing has a much better QB, and wayyy more talent, and we are starting off 0-5.

I honestly think Sing is the dumbest coach in NFL history, and I'm not exaggerating. I'm pretty sure that no other team has hired such an unintelligent man as HC.

Do you even watch the games? Do you even understand how the game is played? What does the coach have to do with not holding on to the football? What do you want them to run the run and shoot super spread offense well that would take a good offensive line that can pass block. Would you still be this upset if they had less turnovers and were 3-2 but still ran the ball on 1st down lol.

Most of Smith's turnovers have occurred under duress (which is probably true for most QB). If the defense stops the first down run, they will probably start to play the pass more in the next 2 downs. If you become less predictable, and/or have 2nd and 5 situations, than the QB may not be under the same amount of pressure and make fewer turnovers.
