Great weekend for MMA. Fedor straight up kicked Silvias ass!!!! Silvia couldn't tap dance his ass to a decision this time!! Arlovski looked good also.
Anderson Silva never ceases to amaze me. The dude is the real deal!!
So the question now is who's the #1 pound for pound fighter in the world?
Silva or Fedor :)
Silva's last loss (i think)

From a beautiful flying heel hook
Damn I remember that fight. Silva was whooping on his until he got caught with that heel hook. Impressive though.
Actually, he's last lost was against Yushin Okami DQ'd (Illegal Kick). Right now, Okami should be the #1 contender for the MW title in the UFC. But, yes this was his last really lost - dont really count this Okami - heard that Okami could off continued - later decided he couldnt. Hopefully, will see silva vs okami soon.

^^^ yeah, he lost to Okami, but didn't he lose because he knocked Okami out with an upkick? that doesn't quite fall into the same category as most losses to me...
anyways, i think Silva is still the #1 fighter in the world. Fedor hadn't fought anyone since 2005, and his win over Sylvia, while impressive, wasn't any more impressive than Silva's win over Irvin, and Silva has actually been fighting people the last two years.

i agree.
Fedors the better fighter IMO, but i'd give Silva the #1 spot because he's been doing more recently.

i dont count okami as a "loss" cuz he didnt lose the FIGHT.
just like i dont consider anthony johnson's fight a "loss"
since he was unable to continue after repeated pokes to the eye. BS
in the loss due to the flying heel hook...
...i believe that foot was already fractured or something like that in training
BEFORE the fight. not certain, but i seem to remember something like that.

How bout that Rory Markham vs. Brodie Farber fight?? That was sick. Farber was connecting with some good punches then it was like Markham just got tired of it and threw that perfect kick to the chin.

its kinda funny how often that happens where one fighter is in trouble
and so the other guy gets careless going in for the kill and ends up getting KO'd.
c.leben KO t.martin
n.quarry KO p.sell
s.smith KO p.sell
to name a few
the actual head kick tho reminded me of r.evans head kick on s.salomon
you could almost hear a voice shouting TIIIIIIIMBERRRRRR in the background.

Poor Pete Sell. He's a solid fighter but notorious for getting careless.

Whats up Starks!!! Yeah Buentello won by decision, it was actually a pretty boring fight . It sucks because I wanted to see Buentello and Emelianenko throw knuckles but Emelianenko couldn't get his fight license for whatever reason.

I want Aleksander in the UFC. I like his fighting style and he said that he could beat all the UFC Heavyweights, which might be true.
