Goes to show how amazingly awful Gregg Berhalter was. Scored more goals in one game then the entire 22 World Cup combined.

Paraguay is known for packing it in on their side of the field. But yeah USA was relentless with their pressure. Balogun is just what Pulisic needs. Good USA started recruiting him a few years ago.

Also helps when 18 of the 26 players play Euro football.

It's true. If you want to be the best, you have to play the best...and that is in Europe.
That having been said, MLS is important for exposure to kids growing up in the this country. It gives second-tier players an opportunity to earn a few dollars with the dream of getting a call overseas. I recall coaching club ball back in the '90s when people would tell kids not to waste their time playing soccer if they had talent to play another sport. That doesn't happen as much now with both men and women playing pro-soccer in the US.
Now let's hope Matt Freese can kick up the MLS image with a great run in goal.

Also. The bringing in of the older players who can't quite keep up with the elite levels. Skill or schedule.
Young kids being able to see Beckham, Rooney, Henry, Zlatan, and now Messi.
