I've heard the USFL and XFL will act as conferences. Disappointing there's still only 8 teams, really feel like 10-12 would've helped it gain more interest.

Very interesting the XFL tried to merge with the CFL. Imagine an American and Canadian league joined together? Only issue would be the rules..

If it can hang around, maybe this could gain interest as a developmental league connected with the NFL someday.

Overall, I'm just happy that I still have a local team to root for in the defending champion Arlington Renegades!

I'm excited to see this merger, but like you I wish they had more than 8 teams, I want a team in the Bay Area.
shocked half the teams have already folded from the XFL.
Finally a home for the QB class of 2021

I don't understand why they can't add a Bay Area team either. Or for that matter a California team. I can't imagine there not being a market for it in Cali.
San Francisco Demons.
Over 20 years ago there WAS an XFL team in SF.

Amen, from wikipedia:

The team played in Pacific Bell Park in San Francisco; despite having the smallest stadium in the league, they also had the highest average attendance (34,954).[2] The fans had a cheering section nicknamed "The Hellhole".

they need to bring this back, see ya'll at the Hellhole
It's intriguing to see the USFL and XFL potentially acting as conferences, but I share your sentiment about the limited number of teams. A larger roster could indeed help garner more interest and add depth to the competition.

The attempted merger between the XFL and CFL was a bold move. Imagining an American and Canadian league together is exciting, but navigating the rule differences would be a challenge.

The potential for the league to serve as a developmental path to the NFL is an exciting prospect. If it can stick around, it might become a crucial stepping stone for aspiring players.

Thank you

Thank you

In my opinion, it was more about survival than being bold.
