I'm sure the diehards don't miss sitting in that windy, cold pit, s**t of a stadium for one second.

Pitching wise and hitting wise. Total team collapse on the field and no accountability from the manager, both on and off the field. I heard Kapler was hands off, letting people do what they wanted. He didn't try to set rules and tell people who got out of line, no, this is not the Giants way. But, how would he know the Giant way, that was up to Crawford and the others, who grew in the Giants system and know the Giants way. But, only Crawford is left on the team that's been a Giant, when they won all those World Series. It's f**ked up, but Kapler paid with his job, and he probably deserved it, because he didn't set rules and all the other stuff I mentioned.

That crap early in the season was a mirage, you cant run openers 3 out of your 5 starters and expect to win. Yea, it worked early on until the bullpen got burned out. The outfield is the worst in mlb by far, they should of gotten rid of everybody this past offseason, how many more seasons of .230 hitting yaz are they going to keep running out there?

On paper this isnt a .500 team and they wont finish as one either.

Yep, agree with pretty much everything. Not even a chance to finish at .500. I say, get Ohtani, he won't be able to pitch again until '25, so maybe we can get him at a discount.

Good riddance. I won't miss his "dumb jock trying to sound smart when he speaks to the media" routine. He never seemed genuine. We should have known how this would turn out when his introductory press conference was a total sh*tshow.

There will be 10 teams trying to outbid eachother. He is still going to sign for well above what people expected after the injury.

f**k it, go for it. We need a face of the franchise, a power bat and an ace for the rotation.

Going for it isn't the issue. There isn't a chance Ohtani signs here. Were a talentless mess right now.

Talentless, my ass. We just need an ace and a power bat. We have young and veteran talent, they just need time to play together. We're fine, party pooper. We're a hell of a lot further along than the Angels. We'll be in the mix for Ohtani as much as the Yankees, Dodgers or anyone else.

lol why would Ohtani sign here? You're a delusional homer if you think this is a prime spot to sign right now. Ohtani wants to win. We don't even have a manager.

He can win here, too - if he can wait a year or two to challenge for a championship. Great Japanese community in San Francisco. We got that going for us.

The sooner you come to terms with the fact that he's not signing here the less disappointment you'll feel this winter. He will have 10 other teams offering him as much as the Giants will, and they will be better teams who makes the playoffs every year.

Like I've brought up before, apparently someone in Seiya Suzuki's camp said that the city of SF doesn't have a great reputation in Japan. He made it sound like it is seen as a dirty, crime ridden city, and not very appealing to Japanese players. No idea if thats true, but we certainly don't seem to ever land Japanese players.

Ultimately were just not ready to win right now, and Ohtani is. He's not going to sign here and wait for the core players to develop.
