The biggest reason the Dodgers are not running away this season is their pitching.
Before the season I posted that I thought the Giants pitching was right there with LA. Several people said I was wrong and I probably was. Now it's true because of the injuries. All their top pitchers have been on the IR at some point. This morning I heard that the Dodgers relievers have pitched more innings than any team. Snell is still a few weeks away and so is Ohtani. Who knows how good they'll pitch when they return. I heard Eric Gagne say that it might be a good idea to use Ohtani in relief in order to prolong his career.
