No way panda makes roster right? Would be awesome to have him around.
Hell no

Yeah that was always a long shot. Nick Ahmed having the edge on Luciano right now is more eye opening.

Not surprising. Ahmed is a much better fielder and Luciano is really struggling at the plate. Once again he's dealing with an injury (hamstring) . I see another one of our former top prospects was sent to the minor league camp. Ramos. He just can't seem to make the jump from AAA. I'll be surprised if Luciano isn't sent to AAA as well. He needs to play to improve his fielding and hitting. It's hard to do that if you don't play every day.

Ahmed as a 1 year stop gap at SS works just fine.

There is a strong possibility we pick up Ha Seong Kim in FA next year and he could slot into SS.

Kim is real good friends with JH Lee and would make total sense as a multi year contract.

Kim is a free agent after the 2026 season. Maybe Adames.

He has a mutual option for 7 million in 2025
I'd bet my house he chooses FA instead of agreeing to the option

I think he's a bust.

I think it's too early to label him a bust. He's had injury issues at every level. One season he played less than half the games. It's been constant rehab for him. As soon as he gets healthy something else pops up. People that are around him say he has the physical tools. He has real power that the Giants could use. I still think his best position may be 3rd base but now they have a gold glover there.

I say send him to AAA and let him play every day. If he stays healthy and has a good season then make the decision to keep him or trade him. Right now he's not ready for the big leagues and his trade value isn't great.

time is always good to trade him out for SP, while there is still time

At least we aren't jumping to extreme conclusions lmao
This is going to be one of those seasons where it will be tough to recognize who is playing for the Giants.

Its really quite interesting how you homer out for some players and are as negative as they come about others. Quite odd.

He was gong to start in the game against Oakland but it got rained out. Every Giants scoring game that's been televised he either hasn't played or the game got cancelled. I'm still wondering what they plan on doing with him. I don't see how they can expect him to improve either at bat or in the field if he doesn't play every day.

Exactly. Calling a kid a bust at his age is just dumb. Now if he gets to 25 and still cant improve then maybe.
