Golden State Warriors Talk

Ethan Strauss came out with a book about the Warriors during this run they've had. Supposedly it was a done deal to trade Steph and Klay for Chris Paul, this was back when Paul was still with the Pelicans/Hornets. They couldn't agree to an extension with Paul so it fell through.

Damn lol

I find that incredibly hard to believe. It would take more than Ethan Strauss writing a book for me to buy it.

Both of them for Paul? That would have been an aweful trade for the Dubs.

LOL Ya think? To believe this you have to believe that Lacob and Myers are morons.

This was early on. Neither Steph or Klay were this good. Back then Paul was arguably the best G in the NBA

Curry's 54 point game at MSG is streaming live on Youtube RN. Middle of the first quarter.

I can kinda understand this from a 2011 perspective.

Lacob prolly wanted to make a splash and get a "franchise player" which at that point CP3 was over
Curry/Klay.

And with a Light-years mindset, maybe you have a shot at Lebron and Co since they all wanted to play together, if you have CP3 and an owner who wants to win?

Idk, whatever the case, totally happy we stuck with our guys.

Larry Riley says...........b******t!

First off, that's false," Riley said. "That never took place, and therefore, I think everybody learned something. When you—I had to tell my mother this cuz she grew up in the days of Walter Cronkite—when you see something on TV or you read it in the newspaper, it's not necessarily true.

Yeah, that must have been pre-Splash Brothers.

What probably happened was Pelicans/Hornets call up golden state and say Chris Paul for Steph and Klay and we literally said f**k off. But they will say that there were "trade discussions" or some BS.

Steph was considered injury prone, Monta was the "star" at the time. Klay was a rookie. CP3 was the best PG in basketball at the time. It's very believable that this could've happened.

I need some Draft Lottery action.

Really good breakdown on possible trade the Warriors could do this offseason. This season plays out perfectly Dubs got Wiggins and an extra 1st for Dlo and Iggy's trade exception.
