I don't understand the purpose of an in season tournament. What is the point of that? A participation trophy? I like shortening the regular season, and having the play-in tourney, but a random tournament in December sounds meaningless and weird.

Harden is the most efficient basketball player in the league and it isn't even close his TS% is thru the roof. He never shoots the ball that much. He is allowed to have a Kobe-esque game once in a while.

Do you know what true shooting percentage is? Check his ranking. He is either 1 or 2. The notion that he isn't efficient is from people who do not know basketball other than the box score.

He wouldn't be that high without the free throw line. But 43 percent from the field and 34 percent from three is not great efficiency.

With just 2s and 3s he's shooting 52.6% true. Yeah so inefficient.

Look deeper than just basic outdated crap.

Since when has FG and 3PT percentage become outdated. Steph has reached 50/40/90 level efficiency which Hardan can only dream of reaching.

Volume matters. It's as outdated as batting average in baseball being an argument for overall hitter quality. Distance of hits and the frequency of them matter. A 3 pter is like an extra base hit in basketball. Harden has shot more than half is shots from 3.

A guy who shoots 43-34 with a fifth of his shots being 3s isn't the same as a 43-34 guy shooting half his shots from 3.

Fine let's include volume. He shot 30 for 111(27%) from 3 the first eight games of the season.

So now only some games count?

That's half his games so far. They count.

The whole season counts.

Well i gotta be honest...I was pretty high on Oubre, Fultz, and Lonzo in the draft too. I thought all 3 would be stars lol
