I've always thought he's better as a forward. But, due to cap considerations, IMO they get the best bang for the buck with him at defense. Like Corey Maggette or James Harden playing point guard. I wish they had pursued Trotz when he was available.

Burns worked the best when he has a solid defensive partner with him

Injuries have limited that.

That's why I'm saying I'd only like to see one of them back. At least if we re sign EK, we can get a return on Burns.

I know I am not a hockey expert but it just seems to me that the Sharks can never win a Stanley Cup unless they get a very good goalie and defensemen who actually play defense. But again, no expert but just my observation from watching them play about 10 times this year.

Play Goalie is such an up and down swing. For example the Islanders guy was a bust from Ottawa who then didn't do that well on Buffalo. Now on his third team, they just swept the freaking Penguins. It's insane.

nabakov was a pretty good goalie during the regular season. never showed up for the playoffs though

Jones took us to the Stanley cup, and we ran into the Pens/Fluery

Unfortunately a down year for him.

Need a goalie to get hot, but usually our forwards who let us down historically
