Cavs has the easiest path to the finals. I don't think any of the remaining team can give them a challenge. I was thinking the heat but Bosh is out for the post season.

And you arent really using an Eastern Conference team's record and comparing them to WC teams records right? You know teams play within their own conference more than the other right? Silly, silly argument, sir.

The Heat are still a very dangerous team with Deng at the 4. He stretches the floor just like Bosh did and can play inside if a smaller defender is on him. Their starting 5 is solid and still have the great shooting and defending of Richardson and the good defense of Winslow coming off the bench. They may not be as dominant as CLE, but they are a very good team.

GS beat HOU and soon Portland without the MVP on the floor. Very easy path at this point and I don't think SA wins more than two games with a healthy Curry. They don't have it very tough over there, either

But every other year, prior to this year, the West had better records from top to bottom. This year their bottom 3 were weak, injury plagued and stood absolutely zero chance of making it out the 1st round. Now their 5th seed can't even beat GS without the MVP on the floor The West is top heavy, just like the East with two teams (GS and SA) having the only realistic chance at winning a title

I think it's obvious East had better depth this season. West was really top heavy this year. Rest of the conf. was average to really bad.

West had 4 teams that won 30 or less games. East only had 2 such teams. West had only 4 teams that won more than 44 games...East had 6. Detroit beat Portland in both games this season and would have been 5th seed in the West.

And, as Sims pointed out - West had better records from top to bottom last several years. But, not this year.

Houston made the playoffs...that says all about how weak the bottom half of the West was this year. Houston lost 17 of 30 games against the East...and still finished the season at .500. Whereas, in the East - none of the playoff teams had a losing record against the West this season.

...so, my point is not Eastern conf. is superior...it's simple that East had better depth and it is definitely not inferior to the West. It's ignorant to suggest that Cavs, Raptors, Heat, or Hawks had easier opponents in the first round than Warriors, Spurs, or Thunder. They also have tougher opponent in the 2nd round than Warriors.

Of course, conf. finals are another thing. West conf. Finals will be amazing...because again, it's a top heavy conference this season and best two teams are in West.

MIA has the better coach and a superior culture than CLE but CLE has the better players and the best in the game in LeBron. Wade has been my favorite player since he entered the league but LeBron is the best

The way Cavs are playing right now...only Warriors can beat them imho.

Hawks had the 2nd best defensive rating in the entire league...and best in the league after all-star break (better than Spurs by 2.5 pts per 100 possessions). Miami was no. 7 in defensive rating all year - so Cavs will have to beat 2 of the top 7 defenses and one above average defense in Pistons (no. 12) to get to the Finals.

It's still early in the playoffs...but Cavs have really kicked it up a notch in the playoffs. We will see how they play in Atlanta. A win tomorrow will be YUUUGGE!!!

Yeah, especially when the guy taking it has been horrible for all 9 games in the playoffs so far. But it actually made sense for such an ugly game... then they go OT and neither team cracks 100 points.

Agree with this and I'm not even guaranteeing the Warriors will beat them. I will take nothing away from GS as they are, from top to bottom, the best team in the league (ever); I just want to see them beat a healthy Cavs team in a 7 game series. People will point to their sweep earlier this year but that means nothing to me. The playoffs, and LeBron in the playoffs, are completely different animals. With the Cavs averaging 16 made threes a game, if they can continue to knock down 13-16 then they can beat anyone. Keeping that up will be the hard part of course so the obvious edge goes to GS but with the way Lebron, Love, Kyrie and Smith are playing, moving the ball and knocking down shots, they will be a tough out for anyone that comes out of the West (mainly looking at GS and SA because Lebron owns OKC, regardless of what team he is on)

Kyle Lowsy acts like he is scared of the moment. He has been horrendous this entire playoffs and he wasn't worth talking about last year in the playoffs either. It is clearly mental when it comes to his issues but man, it's tough to watch him play. He has zero confidence right now. Like, as soon as the ball comes out of his hands, you can tell it's a miss. Even the shots he ends up making, he doesn't have the confidence when he releases the ball.
