Sorry mate i probably overstated the frequency at which it happens. Muffed punts happen more frequently in rugby league because the kicks can be contested by the kicking team.

Muffed or "knocked on" kickoffs happen much more rarely, probably only a few times per season per team.

It is strange more are muffed in the NRL to NFL. The ball is bigger so it should be easier to see and catch.

Perhaps because guys are not all specialist catchers and returners. But in NRL it is usually the role of the full back to catch the bombs and deep kick offs.

Every smart full back will jump up to catch the ball with the "no touch catcher in the air" rule. Next thing you know is they will let them do the Aussie Rules thing of jumping on the other players shoulder.

And the new rule allows the attacking sides catcher protection. Watch the giants like Tupou and Trobvoich
Hey guys. On another note the latest news going around is that
former Bronco/Blues and Australian test player Chris Johns has pushed an idea foward
to get the whole show ( 2020 permiership) on the road/the Island in fact/ to Moreten ( Moretien ) Island
Just 25k off the coast from Brisvagas. Has huge capability to house players/coaches/staff /family.
30 min ferry to major stadiums( Suncorp/Goldy/redcliff) also
hop.skip.jump to Sunny coast.
It is understood that NRL/ Fxtel/numerous more support are bitting.....
Cross your fingers friends and hope it gets going

I reckon they should just leave the rules alone and bring back real scrums. They were fun in the old days with the loose arm and fingers in the eye and the big heave hos. No fun anymore.

Genuine consideration by the games administrators
Even though it was April 1
Be glad we live in this time where a
worldwide catastrophy can be dealt with much better
than the 2 world wars where there was so much worse suffering
100 fold
Stay strong mates

Arrogance and some positive thinking but I think you guys are spot on. They are just trying to save the head office from extinction.

Maybe it would be good for the game if head office went extinct.

I think you should make me head of NRL. I would bring back real scrums as well as the biff.

In the next Lockdown games section , why dont we mention some names from the past.
How about bringing 5 players who were considered
up there but have fallen by the wayside in terms of recognition and fame.
In no particular order: Ben Kennedy.. Bob Linder.. Bruce Maguire..Tim Brasher.. Paul Langmack
There are so many more
What have you got Guys?
