I just dont get this, though I heard it constantly leading up to the fight and especially after. Personally, I dont "pay for the fight" as much as I pay for the experience of all the things leading up to the fight (friends, family, food, anticipation), including the fight. I have a family of four and I can't walk out the house without spending 100 bucks. Shoot, going to a 1.5 hour movie will run you a hundred for tickets, popcorn, hot dogs and drinks. Plus, I dont know anyone that doesn't split the cost of the fight.

Sorry Sincalfaithful, my rant isn't at you. I just think people have gone way over-board complaining about the fight price. Like football, its more than just the game, its the tailgating and all that comes with it.

The question is if the fight is worthy enough to provide idle amusement to an in-house party. The SuperBowl is free btw :)

I meant when I use to have season tickets and pay 30 for parking and 80 a ticket. Dont get me started on the price of food there.

To your point, I probably wouldn't pay 100 bucks to watch the fight if I was going to sit in the room by myself in the dark...Then again, this weekend was a part of boxing history.

lol. if a rematch happens, they will hype it up as another great fight. i'm sure both boxers will make it known that it will be their last fight too, and they'll charge like $200 this time. and im not even kidding.

Plus, just as Mike Golic, Herm Edwards and many other athletes were saying on espn, virtually all sports players hide injuries. 99.99999999% of us would've done the same with $80 million on the line.

And the poster boy of the NFL for the last 15 years, Peyton Manning, just recently hid an injury that made him look like a 60-year-old man against the Colts in the playoffs, and I didn't hear a word of criticism of him.

Real Fighters don't give a ratz azz about injuries, height, weight...etc! Put a real dog against anything and he would fight! What the heck do you want him to say..."I have an injured shoulder and I can't swing with it." Bunch of dumbazz people always looking to sue.
