And there were plenty of times Mayweather stayed in the corner and let Pac unleash and Pac couldnt hit anything but gloves elbows and shoulders.

Yeah Ive seen Mayweather fights. If Mayweather woulda let Pac unleash those flurries ared about five years ago when Manny was on ROIDS then the outcome may have been different. Manny was hitting elbows and shoulders because all he could see was Jacksons and Franklins

So Mayweather would have people believe. Did Pacquiiao ever fail any of the many tests he took? I know it's not conclusive (look at Lance Armstrong), but you could lay the same claim of "Roids" at Mayweather's feet with the same amount of evidence.

Mayweather was a totally different fighter when he was younger. Was more aggressive offensively and was more exciting to watch. Dude is a great, best defensive boxer ever arguably. If this fight was going to be "exciting" it was on Manny to take chances, and be a little wreckless honestly. Come on, have you seen Mayweather fight? Why would he change and turn this into a slugfest. Because so many boxing novices watched the fight and were outraged a lot of criticism is being heaped on Mayweather, but what about Manny? His post fight interview was a joke. He says he couldn't throw punches because Mayweather was moving too much? No s*it, what did you want him to do, stand there? No way in hell Manny was going to come close to winning unless he was aggressive and gambled in spots. He didn't do that. The fight was at Mayweahter's pace and totally his style.

Manny didn't take many chances and was befuddled. He had no idea what to do. That, coupled with Mayweather's style made it a "boring" fight to most causal fans and people who don't watch boxing. I understand the criticism because of the all time hype prior to the fight, but its unfair that Mayweather is getting all of the blame.

If you guys wanna see Mayweather fight aggressively, check out the fight with him and Diego Corrales. That fight made him the pound for pound king. And Corrales was considered one of the best in the weight class at the time.

And the only thing disappointing was Pacquiaos performance. Came out saying he would overwhelm Floyd with soo many punches and he comes out with only 429 punches... Only landing 81. Such a sad performance.

And people have been saying boxing is dead for years now. And MMA is way better, yet has a fighter ever made 100 mil a fight

so because fighters make more money, that makes the sport more popular? well, i guess then boxing is more popular than the NFL/NBA combined.

Has UFC maintained a high level of interest and PPV buys? It would be interesting to see some numbers. It doesn't seem like their popularity has grown too much since the mid 2000s but I may be wrong.

A lot of people think this is the "final straw" for boxing. I can't believe some think another dynamic fighter will not come up. Maybe even in the HW division. There is always new blood. Someone will come through and be packaged and marketed well. That's how it works.

Fought to not lose

The funniest part is Pac said he was gonna be aggressive and get the inside on May and rough him up leading up to the fight. (Like everyone else says)

And then May out punches and lands more punches than Pac. Pac gave up the last 3 rounds, he got tired of bee lining straight into counters. He looked demoralized like most fighter do against May.
