They just need the MC from the And 1 tour and they can become a professional streetball team

Not too shabby. Simple, but effective. IMO, aside from maybe the STL Cardinals, most of the pro team bird logos look kind of tacky.

There's a thread on reddit/r/nba with an interesting topic.

The last 16 NBA champions (2000 Lakers to 2015 Warriors) are put into a tournament of champions. Who plays in the final? Who wins?

Consensus seems to be the 2001 Lakers would take the title. What do you all say?

the 2001 lakers team is the most dominate playoff team in my lifetime (and maybe in history) It's hard to argue against them.

Honestly the best team of the past 15 years was probably one that didn't even win the title: the '09 Celts. Pierce/Allen/KG were all just as good as in '08, but Rondo was a helluva lot better. Just didn't win it due to their best player (KG) missing the entire playoffs - and they still pushed the eventual conference champs to 7 games (not many teams could win 7 playoff games if you took away their best player). Amongst the teams that won it, tough for me to choose between '05 Spurs, '14 Spurs, and '12 Heat

Also another team that's arguably as strong as any other despite not winning it all: the '06 Spurs. Brought in Michael Finley which added another nice dynamic, won the most regular season games in franchise history, and it was likely just Duncan's debilitating plantar fasciitis that enabled Dallas to edge them by the slimmest of margins in the conference semis.

Kevin Love Opted out. Free agent. Let the games begin?

If he leaves and the Cavs get nothing, that was a really terrible f**king trade. Blazers are the rumored suitor right now.

He's going to try and get someone to sign a one year deal to get more money this year with an opt-out again and then do the same thing all over again when the cap goes up. Should be a red flag for anyone trying to sign this dude.

Should be a red flag for being smart?

Any player under 30 who can get max now and again in 2 years should be employing this strategy.

And if he gets seriously injured/he has a bad season and doesn't get as much money? I just question whether or not Love cares about basketball or just cares about money.

He's betting on himself to be healthy and playing at a high level...which is anything but the red flag. It is same as Klay willing to play on his rookie deal rather than signing a non-max offer last fall or Jimmy Butler playing out his rookie deal instead of signing a deal that wasn't giving him max dollars.

I'd rather have a guy who thinks he will get a max deal now and again in couple years over a guy who thinks I'll sign a long term deal so I'm at least set for life if s**t hits the fan.
