I don't want to jinx it...but Kobe looks good.
Looks like a guy who's got plenty of life on those legs that haven't seen significant PT for about 1.5 years.

This got me thinking, what would we consider a successful season this year? Well, what am I looking for this
– Staying relatively healthy as a team
– Kobe playing at a high level
– Julius Randle's development
– Any young guy emerging
– Flipping pieces for any future assets (either player at the deadline or draft picks)
If I could have 3 of those 5 things happen, I'd be happy.

Looking forward to watching Kobe pass Jordan for 3rd all time nba leading scorer. Should happen before the all star break.

You pretty much nailed it. Health willing, I don't think this team will be as bad as feared. Randle's development is the most important part of the season, but I think it's also important to build some positive mojo going into the 2015 FA class. This team needs to win some games. No one's expecting much, so I think outperforming expectations is doable.
I think Ed Davis is the young guy that emerges.

I like him so far. He's looked good – way better than I expected. Lots of energy. Love how he rolls off PnRs and attacks the basket. I hope he can, at the very least, take PT away from Sacre. That alone would be a win in itself.
I really want X to get healthy and take that next step. He's my favorite young guy ever since his emergence last year. He has the tools and I love the way he plays.
Anyone have any thoughts on Wayne Ellington?
