Now that Notre Dame (7-3) lost to Northwestern (4-6) are they finally going to fall out of the top 25? I would like to believe the voters are unbiased and 100% fair but it seems to me Notre Dame hangs in the top 25 when no one else with a similar record and strength of schedule would. To me this goes back to when it was the top 20, not the top 25. A lot of talking heads say it is good for college football's popularity when Notre Dame does well, maybe the poll voters are thinking that when they mark their ballots?

The credibility of these pollsters is totally in question. Vegas opened Alabama as a 6.5 point favorite, and home field is worth 4 points, so on the opening line alone Vegas says Alabama is the better team. The polls show Miss St, # 1, Alabama # 5. The betting public drove the line all the way to 9.5. So Vegas and the betting public picked # 5 to beat # 1. Maybe they should just let fan balloting pick the 4 play-off teams and not the so called expert pollsters.
