***Utah Jazz Thread ***

Andre Iguodala has been a key part of the Golden State Warriors' success over the past three years, but he could be moving on this offseason.

According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, the free agent will "seriously consider" other teams this offseason. The Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves and Atlanta Hawks are considered the most likely destinations besides the Warriors.

I don't know if I'd want him long term and who knows what his price is.

Pass. I don't know why they would do that. Just keep Ingles for cheaper. If they keep Hayward and Hill they can only offer the MLE anyway.
The Utah Jazz have made a trade inquiry on Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley, multiple sources told The Salt Lake Tribune on Wednesday morning. The Jazz are one of 12 teams that has reached out to the Rockets in hopes of acquiring him.

Utah general manager Dennis Lindsey is actively shopping for a veteran point guard, sources say.

According to sources, if the Jazz are successful in trading for a point guard, that doesn't close the door on Utah's effort to retain starting point guard George Hill, who will be an unrestricted free agent in July.

Beverley will make $5.5 million next season, which means the Jazz can absorb his salary until next Friday without sending a player back in return. Utah will have the 24th and 30th picks in Thursday night's NBA draft.

Wouldn't be too bad I guess.
It would make our defense even better

He's a good shooter from 3 as well. I wouldn't hate it.

My only problem is that when there is a leak involving the Jazz, it means the deal is dead. I'm just glad DL is looking for a PG right now.
Suns looking to move Bledsoe, just looking at point guards...I just wish we had more solid assets. Favors and 24 is a start, but they would want more I'm sure.

At about 5:24 Woj talks about Utah being very aggressive about getting pieces before July 1st to bring to the table for Hayward.

They've been linked to Rubio, Beverley, Dragic, and as Tony Jones and Jody Genessey said, "shooters".

As for the draft i think they try and move up for Donovan Mitchell, then take Tony Bradley at 30. It will be interesting to see what happens
Donovan Mitchell. Surprised to see us move up..

Who??

The little I've heard he's solid.
Never heard of him.
Oh snap, we traded Lyles? Damn that really sucks but him disappearing after a solid summer league last year kinda put the writing on the wall.

Two trades in one night??? Damn! Lindsey is being very aggrsssice. I really hope these guys work out. Hopefully Hayward likes the moves too.
Got both guys I wanted

Mitchell is a great pickup, and he made it a point to make Utah his first visit. Love his 2 way potential. This is what he said about the Jazz:

Definitely ok with this pick
Mitchell was in the conversation to go as high as 8, and he fell to 13. Great pick.

He plays great D, was the 2nd best SG in the draft, can play PG, is a great 3 pt shooter, etc.

Imagine if we had taken Kawhi and Giannis instead of Burks and Burke...

We'd be holding the championship right now.
