Luckily we have good depth now so he doesn't have to rush back. He can be a serious candidate for 6th man of the year if he stays healthy. I just really hope he comes back and plays all year because he is such an exciting player

In a deal constructed around salary-cap maneuvering, the Philadelphia 76ers sent guard Kendall Marshall to the Utah Jazz for center Tibor Pleiss, two second-round picks and cash, league sources told The Vertical.

The Jazz plan to waive Marshall before his $2 million contract becomes guaranteed Saturday, league sources told The Vertical.

The 76ers will absorb the $3 million guaranteed to Pleiss for 2016-17 and the $500,000 guaranteed on the $3.1 million in 2017-18. Pleiss, 26, joined the Jazz a year ago from Europe, but has been disappointing and has lost momentum in his NBA career.



Probably done since they guaranteed all of Bolomboy's contract yesterday.

Kendall Marshall. Damn. He's a guy I wanted a few years ago. He'll he would've been great here pre-injury. Now we're stacked at PG so I'm fine with it.

I thought Utah was getting those picks at first....but whatever. DL has acquired so many picks he had to do something with them. This clears a spot for Bolomboy and that extra cash can be used to extend Favors/Gobert

Me too. Not that I'm upset, but it seems like we gave up picks for nothing more than cap space.

Edit: After thinking about it for a second I guess it makes sense. We needed the cap space more than 2nd round pics.

Basketball is just around the corner! I have to say I'm pretty excited about the potential of this team. Question is can they stay healthy and finally put it all together? Will be fun to watch.

Well that was sluggish but at least the bench made it a game at the end.

Hayward and Favors are amazing. Portland couldn't miss and the rest of the Jazz played sloppy. I'm not worried, they just need time.

Yeah once this team gets some chemistry and the new guys learn the offense we're gonna be a blast to watch. This is gonna be an exciting year.

Only watched bits and pieces but the depth on this team sure is refreshing.
