Don't be a hater cause they hated your thread.

At some point these dudes have to play the game. Hopefully sooner than later.

LOL - I'm not being a hater. Just pointing out how stupid it was to hate on a thread.

haha, love ya. It wasnt me man, they people called. When the people call, you listen.

Go G's!

He experiences no pain at any point after throwing 100+ pitches. he doesn't even ice his arm, ever. his delivery is just great physics. I'm not saying hes immune to injury, but hes one of the very last pitchers id expect to see needing Tommy John surgery. The horrible mechanics of guys like Stephen Strasburg are what causes the need for TJ.

Bro, love ya but totally false statement here. The science of biomechanics (i believe) says that arm lag causes elbow injury and that can come at any time. Timmy has a bad case of elbow lag, just like Strasburg. It is not just about the inverted W arm motion. When the front leg hits the ground you should be in a throwing motion or you are putting way to much stress on the elbow. In my opinion the only thing that saves him is his arm comes over at the highest point vice a regular motion. It is awesome that he feels no pain, now...but you have to see he must be worried about it. Over the last few years he has decreased his velocity on purpose, and this year announced he wanted to throw the slider less. Timmy is thinking about arm wear and tear, you should recognize that. This isnt about not having to ice and arm bro, this is science.
Not too worried about his elbow. I'm more curious how long his great flexibility/torque will hold up as he gets older.

Good point.

Local weather radar looking good friends. The main front has passed and is now east of Sacramento, and although there are still pockets of scattered showers to the west, the game should definately be a "go" even if it is delayed somewhat to let the field dry.

Yeah that was one of the reasons I knew it was fake lol. And "Boster Olney". How come he stopped throwing his slider though? That was supposedly to save wear and tear on his arm. So while I think he is less likely to get injured than other pitchers, maybe he's still trying to be careful?

sliders are naturally hard on your elbow. outside the screwball, they're probably the most straining pitch you can throw. He just wants to be healthy when he tests free agency in 2 years.

Timmy is a fastball/change guy, so you'd probably see shoulder problems if anything. I find it funny that people still get concerned over his mechanics and arm health 7 years after he fell to 10th in the draft because of those concerns, and hes had little to no problems with injuries at all in that span.
I am not conerned about injury with Timmy. What I AM concerned about is the continuing velocity loss and even more importantly the inability to command his fastball and get ahead of hitters. No reason to panic after 2 starts but I am glad the Giants didnt lock him up with some 6 year deal for 150 million dollars.

I'm with you on the contract...that two year $40 million was fine for me when it was signed, and I'm still good with it even if he wins 20 this year. I'm less concerned about the velocity loss than most I guess. To me, it's always been about his ability to command both the fastball and changeup low in the zone and right now he can't. Having watched my son pitch from little league through the D-1 level, I've experienced that all things being equal, velocity will always be higher on a radar gun when the ball is down around the knees as opposed to belt/chest level. Almost everything Timmy is throwing is up right now, and I think that is why his fastball velocity is appearing to be lower. I'm convinced its mechanics that he will work out, and that he will consistantly be around 92 MPH with his fastball which is plenty with his movement. Remember back in 2010 in August when we were all concerned about the same thing...
