Well... Good thing I didn't watch much of this series lol.

I had a bad feeling going into it anyways. Nats are a damn good team and we played in DC. Not to mention the funky start time which undoubtedly messed with us more than it did the Nats.

Just take 2/3 in Pitt and I'll be pleased.

That wont be easy the way the Pirates are playing.

With Vogey, the team has a chance. Zito and Timmy on the other hand................

Casilla should be done as the closer. It was a temporary gig for him anyway. Romo is the man for the job.

The ups and downs of a season are inevitable...but we can't win on the road at all so far.

i thought the same thing, but then i asked my self, can romo do it? i think he would succeed but would be injured before seasons end. his pitch is the slider, can he go out there 4+ days a weeks and make 20 pitches in 3 straight games?

also, i am so glad i fell asleep and missed that, we should have known it was going to be a rough day when you get 3 straight singles and no runs.
Not trying to beat a dead horse, but Wheeler up to #10 on BA's top specs. He is gonna light it up one day.

Missed the game, but my neighbor filled me in a little on what I missed. Bochy didn't let Cain close out the 7th inning against Roger Bernadina? I was told everything spiraled out of control after that point.

I'm worried about Casilla. Either he's still hurt or his confidence is shot.

Cain had just given up back to back jacks...he was done...blame Affeldt and the lack of clutch hitting.

Arias appeared to have called for that bunt in the 9th, but Casilla didnt hear him and went full retard instead.

One can argue that it is still early and the team will move on, but to regress back to poor timely hitting and defensive lapses that plagued them at the beginning of the season is never good. The Nats pretty much owned the team this series.

The bottom line for this game is that the Giants had many opportunities to add runs by getting hits with RISP but they failed...Pablo, Belt, and Arias could not deliver a hit or a sacrafice fly. The bullpen couldn't hold the lead, so we lost. Sh*t just goes that way sometimes...it's baseball. It was not a good three game series, but hardly time to go into panic mode barely past the halfway point of the season. Let's see how we stack up at the beginning of September before the hand wringing starts again.
I'm tired of this losing. must sweep the bucs!
