Belt is so good at 1B. Saved Theriot on that throw in the dirt. I concur on Theriot. He blows.

He was a foot away from his first jack of the season as well

Great DP. Uribe is such a waste now. LOL

It seems like every time the Dodgers sign a player away from the Giants, they get absolutely nothing out of them. Jason Schmidt got paid 50 mil. to make just 10 awful starts in Dodger blue. Uribe got 21 mil and has been a complete waste. and who could forget Eugenio Velez, who set the Major League record for most AB's in a season without getting a hit last year. Thats right, Velez took 37 AB's as a Dodger, and went 0 for 37. He is no longer with the team.

I like to think of these 3 guys as classic Giants. The showed true commitment to the team by continuing to kill the Dodgers even after their days with SF.

I was devastated when Schmidt signed with the Dodgers, since I consider him one of my top 5 favorite Giants of all time. But in the end it all worked out. I will say, for those of you too young to remember, that from the span of about mid 2002 to mid 2004, Jason Schmidt was better than Tim Lincecum at his peak. Schmidt had a changeup that got more swingthrough strikes than any pitch from any pitcher in baseball. The fact that he lost the 2003 CY to Eric Gagne is one of the biggest travesties of all time. Right smack in the middle of the steroid era, he was un-hittable in 03. A crying shame.

Dont get too excited, because I am sure Billingsly will either:

a) Go 9 complete while only throwing 72 pitches.
b) Strikeout 18 Giants
c) Bean Posey in the wrist, breaking his Hamate bone.
Such a nice win yesterday. Giants were agressive at the plate against a really good pitcher. First pitch swinging at fastballs instead of getting behind and facing his SO pitches. I think it was their gameplan because it happened often. Also, Theriot is not good. He is just out there man. Another quality start by Vogey!! So glad to beat Kershaw. We needed that. And to that dude above, quit asking for injuries on our player or I will come at you, bro.
In hindsight would you have kept Font and dumped The Riot?
Good game last night. Exactly how our team is built: to win with pitching and defense. Belt played well and his ABs weren't bad. Javy Lopez was sensational. And goodness, Theriot sucks. I still have some hope for Crawford's development and I still wish we would've kept Kepp.
Told you all yesterday that we would win last night. Hopefully one day off from "the sky is falling doomsday season is over we suck Bochy sucks Crawford sucks Pill sucks San Francisco sucks Matt Cain wants to be somewhere else Timmy sucks our bullpen is garbage our minor league system is the worst in baseball we are fielding a team of triple A players our world series was a fluke goodbye to relevency see you in 10 years Pagan sucks Sabean is the antichrist I can't watch this sh*t Belt can't hit Schierholtz sucks our scouting department is trash" type of posts.

Just one day off maybe...
