Really nothing. The Maloofs dont want to stay, but they burned their bridges with the NBA and probably will make it tough for them to sell. Sacramento has done everything they needed to get the arena, but the Maloofs are broke and will not be able to do that.
So there are 2 options. 1. sell the Kings to an owner who will get the new arena(not likely), move to aneheim and then the Maloofs will sell(not likely)

So we're f**ked either way.

I don't even know. Everyone is just like defeated. No one really knows where to go from here. Just kind of a wait and see approach

So it's gonna have to be an owner that has some serious local ties and interest, don't you think? As far as business wise, leaving town would make the most sense.

Won't be overnight though. Prolly like 3 years away. Just gotta hope that Stern doesn't let them move while we wait for the Maloofs to slowly bleed to death.

Ron Burkle, Steve Balmer, and Larry Ellison are all willing to buy the team and keep them in Sac. The city is willing to help with a new arena/pay for most of(and might just build one anyway even if the kings don't agree to play in it), and it'd be profitable to keep the team in Sac. KJ got them an additional 10 mill in sponsorships from businesses, Comcast is willing to bump the TV deal from 10 mill to 25-30 mill if the Kings agree to stay long term, a new arena that would sell out consistently(which it will if the team is half way decent) will generate more revenue, and the team already profits 5-6 mill(one of only 5 teams in the NBA to do so) for the last 2-3 years. Basically what it boils down to is the Maloofs lost all their other money and owe a s**tload of money so they are milking the 5-6 mill they can out of the Kings every year. Stern just recently threatened to take away their revenue sharing money because they're going to try to leach off the NBA to pay their personal debts and fund their other dumbass exploits. They're f**king morons and jerks and I hope they sell the friggin team.

I think this is the likely outcome; especially since Stern has threatened to take away their revenue sharing-meaning that the Maloofs have to pay for the player's salaries out of their own pockets.
