Well I knew he wouldn't come anywhere near Posey or Heyward..but yeah, they shut him down early..he pitched that entire year coming off tommy john surgery and the Cardinals didn't want to risk it.

3rd place? What about the 2 writers that left them off their ballot entirely.

The 1 idiot from Pittsburgh voted Posey first and then 2 Pirates.. Walker and Tabata.

To me the vote had to be:
1st and 2nd Posey/Heyward
3rd Sanchez or Garcia

Nothing else made sense. Our own beat writer Andrew Baggarly voted for Vetters for
3rd place which also was whacked.
