ok....i hate to break this to you guys but......
baseball players have been cheating for the last 135 years. its always been about what you could get away with. people act like steroids ruined the game. please...the stadiums themselves are different dimenions. one player hitting in a bandbox his whole career is going to have better numbers than a guy who hit in a pitchers park his whole career.
baseball isnt fair to begin with, and players have been altering their bodies and equipment to get an edge since baseball started. its part of the game whether fans like it or not. this whole purist mentality of people who want to put asterisks by some players names but continue to ignore the old time players who threw spitballs is such ignorance.
while i agree everyone sticking needles in their butts to get like hulk hogan is bad for the sport, but the era was what it was, and players will still take things that you cant trace. just enjoy the entertainment aspect of the game and stop worrying about cheating. cheaters will usually get caught sooner or later.
