Jay Vincent then

With their last pick Memphis selects:

Easy Ed Macauley C/F Why is he the selection???? Because..........Ed was

* A 7 time NBA Allstar
* An All Star Game MVP
* First Team All NBA 3 Times
* 53rd ALL TIME in Player Efficiency Rating
* an NBA HALL OF FAME PLAYER

Easy Ed Macauley...........the steal of the draft

One of those great pre-shot clock big men.

Don't pick my guy, man! Don't do it!
Dino Radja, PF

Radja would have probably been picked by now if he had played for more than 3 1/2 seasons. He came over to the Celtics in 1993 after winning several titles in Europe. He was a talented two way player with a good mid-range and back to the basket game, whose best season was in 95-96, when he averaged 19.7ppg, 9.8rpg, & 1.5bpg on 50% from the field.

He was traded to the 76ers for Clarence Weatherspoon in 1997, but the trade was nullified because he failed a physical...and he went back to Europe. Strange case, but a productive player in his time.

Easy Ed's stats noticeably declined after the introduction of the shot clock. Same with Mikan. The shot clock killed his career.
