What's the chances the spurs are blowing their wad just a little too early?

It's funny, a month ago people were wondering why the Spurs hadn't yet started their late season surge. Now that it's belatedly begun, you're wondering if they're blowing their wad just a little too early?

u scared?

You didn't hear me wondering when they were going to start their run. They don't have enough to win it all, or even come close. Do you honestly think they have a chance at getting out of the West, let alone the first round?

If they get hot on their 3's during playoff time. People can say all they want about the big 3 needing to come up big, but the success of this team, if I had to use percentages, is 60% on the big 3 and 40% on hitting their 3's.

What upset me the most was seeing Parker look like he's been eating hot dogs during his time off. You can tell when a guy hasn't been working out when he has lost the separation or definition where his triceps meet his shoulder.

I really hope this doesn't affect us later. If it does, then he needs to be slapped.

Paul Westphal said it, "This is probably one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now."

Good. This guy is not going to tire within the next two years...he's just that way. Now he just needs to stay away from injuries and too much basketball in the off season.
Damn, the Suns were hitting their threes. And their backup PG tore us a new one.

This is one guy you shouldn't have traded to us... but we thank you anyway!

So lately the Spurs have been comfortably beating the best teams in the league, while losing to the craptastic D-Leaguers in New Jersey and Memphis. On balance, I think this team is heading into the playoffs in good shape.

The Lakers, meanwhile, are struggling. And Parker will likely get back into top form before Bynum. Screw playoff position. I want Balboa. You hear that, old man?

George Hill is back and the Spurs are beginning to click on all cylinders. Even better, Bonner is gaining more confidence in pump faking and taking it to the basket, Blair keeps getting more aggressive on the offensive boards and things are clicking. Now, only for Tim to be ready to bump up his scoring for the playoffs.

Getting Strong Now!!!

Spurs are waiting to push Start.

The Lakers really dodged a bullet, IMO. They're vulnerable right now.

Now I hope the Spurs go against the Nuggets. The Mavs are scary good against the Spurs.

The Mavs are a terrible matchup for the Spurs but if Tim plays at a high level and our bench comes through, then I think we can beat anyone. I don't remember the last time all three of these guys have been this healthy come playoff time.

Wow, no Duncan/Ginobili and the Spurs played pretty well. Blair had another 20/20 game.

Apparently Pop decided he wants the Mavs. I don't know why.

I think the Mavs were trying to lose. The Spurs in the 1st round is deadly. What's even worse for the Mavs is that this will be the 2nd time in 3 years they get knocked out of the 1st round. How bad would that be for the franchise?

Mavs:

2007 - lost in first round (Warriors) *EPIC FAIL*
2008 - lost in first round (Hornets)
2009 - lost in second round (Nuggets)
2010 - ?

Wow, that's even worse!!
Let's hope Dirk doesn't have another amazing game. And maybe the free throws won't be 14 to 34 disparity considering they gave a lot of free throws to a guy who primarily shoots jumpers and fade-aways.

Dirk might have another amazing game no matter what the Spurs do. The same goes for the FT differential, since that's in the hands of the referees.

The Spurs just need to take care of the ball and rebound. That's it.

Yeah, no more butter-ball crap. Eliminate the really dumb turnovers, and we can probably get a win.
Get it, Richard!
Go Spurs Go
Damn, what a terrible way to end the third. Its always their worst quarter! I'm starting to get nervous
